Delete your Vudo account

You can delete your account at any time. It can’t be undone.

In the app

1. Open Vudo and tap your photo (top right) to open Settings.
2. Scroll down and tap Delete account.
3. Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away and you’re signed out everywhere.

On the web, it’s the same: Settings › Delete account.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app or your phone, email us from any address:

Include the phone number on the account. To make sure it’s really you, we’ll send a code to that number by WhatsApp or phone call and ask you for it. We delete the account within 7 days of confirming, and email you when it’s done.

If you no longer have the number, tell us; we’ll find another way to confirm it’s you.

What gets deleted

• Your phone number, profile photo and “about”.
• All your sign-ins, notification settings and login codes.
• Message requests that were never accepted, sent or received.

What stays

• Your name, in your friends’ chats. Messages you already sent stay in their chat history, so their conversations still make sense. Nobody can write to you any more.
• Reports about messages are kept for as long as needed to keep Vudo safe.
• Usage counts, such as how many messages were sent each hour, and the hours you were active (used only to count active users).
