Child safety standards

Last updated 2 November 2026

Vudo does not tolerate child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) of any kind. These standards apply to everyone who uses Vudo, and they’re part of our terms of use.

What’s not allowed

  • Any sexual content involving someone under 18, including drawings, edited or generated images, and text.
  • Grooming: building a relationship with a child in order to abuse or exploit them.
  • Sexualising children, or asking a child for sexual content or to meet.
  • Sextortion: threatening someone, including a child, to get sexual content, money or anything else.
  • Trafficking, or advertising or arranging the abuse of a child.

How Vudo is built to protect people

  • Vudo is for people aged 13 and over.
  • Vudo is for chats between friends. Someone you don’t know can send you only one message request; they can’t see your number, and can’t send more unless you accept.
  • There are no public profiles, groups or ways to search for strangers.
  • Anyone can report a message from inside the chat.

How to report

  • In the app: hold the message (or tap ⋯ next to it on the web) and choose Report. You can also decline the request.
  • By email: write to support@vudoapp.com. Include the person’s name and what happened; don’t send us images of abuse.
  • If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police straight away.

What we do

  • We review reports of child abuse first, as quickly as possible.
  • We delete the content and close the accounts involved.
  • We report child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the relevant authorities, in Ghana and internationally, and keep the information they need, as the law requires.
